Confessions on a dance floor

She's sold over 200 million records, made enough cash to cover the entire nation of Bermuda, played live to sell out audiences, married, dated, remarried, adopted, rearranged fashion, created the template for the take-charge young girl that is mined by the Spears and Lohans even today.

She's incorporated personal, political, spiritual and religious themes in her music. She's a dancer, singer, producer, author and actor - all wildly successful (ok, perhaps not the actor part).

Her career spans 26 years. And yet she hasn't met anyone who can tell her that she can't write decent songs? Or is this album Madonna's way of paying tongue-in-cheek homage to the throwaway lyrics of the disco era?

But ah, the benefits of rolling in cash: you can hire some terrific hands in the studio who can still make your 10th and latest studio album quite interesting.
