The new Die Hard

Bruce Willis' Die Hard franchise not only made him a huge star but also tortured us with cinematic cliches for years to come. I enjoyed them when they came out but I don't think they've aged well at all.

But Willis has, shrewdly tweaking his personae in terrific under-appreciated movies like Hostage and 16 Blocks. Its enough for me to forgive him for The Whole Nine Yards and it's ghastly sequel.

Which is why when Live Free or Die Hard (couldn't they come up with a better name?) opens on June 27 this year, I'll go see it.
