Indian Idol 3 - Early Favorites

I don't know about the rest of you but I believe that if a woman is going to win the competition, it has to be one of these three.

Charu Semwal (19, Deharadun) has a terrific sense of style and occasion, a very sweet voice and a pleasing personality. Her early troubles with Suhit Gosain gave her some visibility but her subsequent performances (not to mention Gosain's bleating) have made us realize she was robbed back then.

Dipali Kishore (18, Patna) has a traditional, ringing voice. Chances are people used to our Latas and Ashas will vote for her. She can definitely hold a tune and seems to be an overachiever, which is always good in this competition of jittery nerves and self-destruct shakiness.

Aisha Sayed (20, Mumbai) is the only other genuine voice who sounds like it might belong to a woman (both Shifa Ansari and Richa Aneja are talents but they have Betty Boop voices). Whether she wins or not, she'll sing an item number or two for some Bollywood producer in the near future.
