Indian Idol 3: Who gets eliminated on July 29th?

Last week you predicted the exit of Charu Semwal by a whopping 38%. Vote for who you think will get the kiss of death next week from the public on July 29th.

Leave a comment to explain your vote if you'd like.

UPDATE: These polls are great because unlike the official II3 voting its open to fans outside India. And its completely anonymous but I do get to see who is getting votes from which region.

Accounting for IP reporting errors and the fact that I'm far from being a data analyst, here is what is most interesting about Parleen leading the race for elimination: he didn't get a single vote from India. All his (un)votes come from the US, Pakistan, Iraq, Canada and UK.

Prashant's suprising unpopularity is nicely spread out though - he gets (un)votes from everywhere except North East India.

Result: The majority got it right. Parleen Gill made a tearful exit on July 28th from Indian Idol 3.

I am surprised Emon is high on the list!

Anon, Ankita struggles with singing but after Chang she is the smartest contestant in the show. So we'll see her get more mileage I'm sure.

S, I share that surprise. I would think that outpouring of support for Emon would translate into votes.

I'm torn, I think Parleen is the worst of the remaning singers, but he's so goshdarn cute, I can't bear for him to leave. Ankita is close, but she must have really put effort into her riyaaz because she's been pretty good on sur, tempo, etc. lately. Chang is also a fast follower, because even though he's got a big following, his voice is getting kind of stale - I don't see much variety in it.

I hope it's not Parleen who is eliminated. Indian idol would be very tasteless without him...and i think given a chance he can sing darn good...maybe he's having bad days...

Parleen can surely sing songs but not yet fit to win a competetion.I am surprised he is still not voted out.

When the guy started singing 'layi vi na gayi',there was so much pain, for obvious reasons and I consider that his best singing so far,(although karunya's rendition of the same in the last season is my all time fav by any standards). But when Parleen couldn't complete the last line and started to weep, man,it sure broke my heart into pieces.

Whats with the 'Gill' boys? They r always fun loving, friendly and when they get voted out the others cry inconsolably(anyone remember panna Gill from II2)....I want to ask like Gabbar...Inke ghar vale bachon ko kaunsa chakki ka atta kilathe hai re...

No wonder boys get more votes. We can't see our men crying..looks like Emon's gaining more votes after his downpour post parleen's elimination.

It made me wonder why he didn't sing it before. I agree it was easily his best!
