Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007: Who will be the next winner?

SRGMP has some killer singers - it's difficult to pick a clear winners. Still some favorites have emerged. This poll is your chance to tell us who you think will win. Leave us a comment if you'd like to explain your choice.

UPDATE: India puts its faith in Raja, Aneek and Mauli. Amanat gets all his votes from North America and the UK.

Aspi, you have something against Raja Hasan? Or is that Vizu polls do not allow more than 9 options? Or is Raja Hasan already the winner? Or was the dish that broke last week manufactured in Bikaner? Or you simply don't savour Bikaneri Bhujia?

I run Raja Hasan's blog and I have a reason to fume. Do you have a reason to keep him out of the polls?

Sorry buddy, my bad! I had a feeling I would mess that up. He's back in and with a killer picture to make up for his early absence.

I dont know why raja is out but manish has great sense of humour. He's furious but his comment is hilarious.ha ha

I would never do it deliberately. I love Mithun Chakraborthy and Raja reminds me of him all the time! In fact, I'm thinking of calling Raja Gunmaster G-9.

We do have common favourites it seems. Mithunda and Bappida still rock for me - two decades down the line. And Maybe Raja could sing Halwa waala aa gaya sometime on the show. What about Bikaneri Bhujia? Is that on your list?

There seems to be no 'Vote' button

Aspi said...

deepu, pick your choice using the radio button and then there should be a brown "Cast Vote" button at the bottom of all the choices.

If you've already cast your vote, you will see percentages next to each choice and no Vote button. If you want to change your vote or vote again, try this link.

Aspi and Manish, thanks to both of you, you made my day. Arre day kya, you made my week ...

For decades, my family (mummy, papa, bhaiya, mama, mami, chacha, maasi, maasa, cousins) has teased me for I being a Mithun fan. I remember, I had this huge poster of Mithun in my closet and would buy all Stardust and Filmfare magazine that has Mithun's picture.

The joke still continues now, when my husband tells friends that Mithun was my favorite actor and they all laugh, like Rupal tumhari choice ko kya hua ...

All, I can say is ...

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!!!

So once again, thanks Aspi for this blog and thanks Manish and Aspi for not making me feel; I am the only person who liked Mithun.

Aspi said...

Ah Rupal, don't mind your husband and friends - your taste in actors is excellent. Welcome to the Mithun-lover's club. Not only was Mithun super-cool but he could also act better than most actors around him.

And he is the only guy I know who once jumped from a plane holding his parachute in his hands (in the movie: Commando).

Aspi/Rupal,

I live in a small village in Maharashtra, India that doesn't even feature in any map I have seen yet (But we are on Google Earth). We have a video rental store (All VCDs - no DVDs yet) that does pretty brisk business. You would be surprised to know that almost 40% of the rentals are Mithun movies even today. The Mithun craze simply refuses to fade away in rural India.

I never knew that he had acted in movies like Bengal Tiger and Marshal until very recently. And these are the very typical disco-cum-action-cum-emotional Mithun movies.

The video guy tells me that these Mithun's B grade movies are still produced (Not bigger banners like Guru, Elaan, Chingari) and have the safest openings - (producer ka paisa vasool.)

And Aspi, forget the commando stunt. He climbed a lighthouse like a lizard in 3 seconds flat in Watan Ke Rakhwale. Spiderman? Who Spiderman?

Anyone knows how to setup an automated process/bot for this poll so that it can keep voting for Mauli day-in, day-out?

Aspi said...

Manish, Raja called. He says his heart is broken after reading your comment.

Rupal said...

Manish, you run Raja's blog and want to vote for Mauli non-stop.

Yeh kya loocha hai?

Manish said...

How else do you think Mauli topped this week? I need to find that godammn tool that Mauli's goddamn fan has been using for online voting at rediff.

Aspi said...

Manish, not that I'm encouraging you to do this - but if you know Javascript, you could use the instructions here to build your own.

Manish said...

Aspi, I would have loved to discuss this further, but probably this is not an appropriate forum to do that.

Leera said...

Aspi, I dont see the vote button. I'm panicking coz Aneek and Raja need my votes!!!

Aspi said...

Leera, two questions: do you see the button at the bottom? I assume no?

Have you voted once before?

Leera said...

No I haven't. But i really want to.

Aspi said...

leera, I checked from one other computer and sure enough, no vote button. So I went back and fixed it (I think). One more try please and let me know if it is still messed up.

Mohmad said...

aspi ,

It's been fixed , EVEN I CAN SEE IT NOW !!

thanks.

Aspi said...

Cool, thanks for confirming dude. I don't know what got messed up.

Well, Poonam's name has now officially changed. She was first called Poonam Yadav. Now they have decided that she would be better off asPoonam Jatau.

Earlier Raja Hasan was called by the Zee guys as "Raza Hasan". I know that SRGMP has a Feng Shui consultant. I wonder if a numerologist has officially joined in as well.

Aspi said...

Boy, I hate to come between anyone and their numerologist. So I changed the name. Good work as usual, Sherlock!

Manish said...

Aspi, something is seriously wrong at SRGMP. Now Sumedha Karmahe is suddenly Sumedha Karmak. Wait for a week and then you can update all names in one go.

Deepu said...

I initially voted for Raja, but after some major discussion with my friends around campus, I'm come to the conclusion that its going to be Aneek in the final two at the very least. Ismail is being very chummy with Himesh, and after getting his gharana's boy to win in 2005, I think he'll put his weight behind Aneek. Sorry Amanat, I know that ID and HR have a conspiracy hatched between the two of them to give both you and Aneek equal TV masala time, but the simple voting demographics weighs against you.

Aspi said...

Its sad but true. Poor Amanat doesn't have a chance.

pritam said...

MAULI dave is a horrible singer.
please dont vote for her

MOULI sucks - she does not sing , she SCREAMS and costs good singers their place in competition be4 their due time -- sad - shame rahter
