Marigold Wilting

Insipid, clichéd and tiredly pretentious, these words best fit this much touted ‘Salman Khan’s first Hollywood film.’ There may be many other words that describe the film but they are best avoided as most would be expletives.
Fatema Kagalwala reviews Marigold - Ali Larter's "adventure in India" with Salman Khan. The entire review is probably more entertaining than the movie. Too bad, because I enjoyed the soundtrack.

God almighty that sounds awful. But clearly I will watch it anyway.

Beth, your love for Bollywood transcends masochism.

I am with you, Beth. I want to see it 'cause it sounds so bad, it's got to be good.
When I first saw the previews, I was in a movie theater in India, all by myself. I started to LOL as I thought this was some spoof, only to realize, gasp!, this was a real preview of an actual film!! Other gave me strange looks.

This would have been a great light-hearted film. Problem is (my review of the preview)that this movie takes itself seriously.
