What was the best part of the wrap-up, warm-up SRGMP show this Friday? Watching Bappida again. Ok, so it was only a jhalak, but with all the bleeng bleeng on him its hard to miss even a nanosecond of the man.
Thankfully keeping the mandatory mass hysteria shots to a minimum, SRGMP avoided the pitfalls that besieged Indian Idol 3 in its final weeks. (If the singers are really popular, you don't have to ram it down everyone's throats.)
I enjoyed watching some of the best performances from the top 3, although I would have liked to have seen more of the people we haven't seen in a while - the ones kicked off the show in weeks past.
Fans of Raja Hasan have reason to rejoice. His lead in India remains kayam. However, international voting makes this a highly unpredictable exercise. So while votes from India put Raja on top, followed by Aneek and then Amanat, the tally outside India was the reverse of this order.
The winner in all of this: Aneek who ended up on top, followed by Raja and then Amanat.
This makes it a three-horse race although Raja still remains the favorite. Amanat is now, unofficially, the dark horse.
