I was recently introduced to Junior NTR by my source for what's cool in Tollywood via a movie called Yamadonga. And just so we can gauge the fun appeal of this movie, here is what Wikipedia has to say about it: "Audience are showing their overwhelming response for the scene where Hero enters like Tiger. Villagers get attracted by the dialogues of NTR as Yama."
Junior - who is the grandson of the legendary NTR, actor, producer, politician, Chief Minister - looks like a rather laid back fellow and dances with a delirious grin - kind of like a better looking but shorter Upen Patel doing upright Pilates on fast forward.
Fortunately for us, he is a hugely charming dancer and in the following songs that are worth watching, the choreographers blatantly abuse his danceability. Junior proves equal to the task, ripping through all of the moves and showing a penchant for wearing magnificent glittery shirts (can I have one, please?).
Nachore - Minitailed Junior cavorts with curvaceous item girl after liberating her from her jacket. Breast heaves abound. Junior dresses up like a pirate and peeks from under his eye patch.
Ola Olaala - Junior celebrates finding true love with several pretzel like moves. Also never seen before: upright peacock feathers morph into dancing girls.
Yamadonga - Indy Junior rocks Paataal. An agitated Yama watches as Junior steals yamababes from under the Inevitable One's nose. (How's that for a cool song treatment Bollywood?)
Gola Gola Rangola - in Asoka, poor Sameera Reddy has to try and keep up with twinkletoes, who seems to be having a great time.
