For a show of that calibre to be reduced to mere gimmickry by Mr. Himesh is such a shame. Putting contestants into oddspot in the name of love or their economic background seems to be the order of the day. And ofcourse, Raja bashing is becoming Himesh's favourite passtime. I guess the producers should consider renaming the show to SareDRAMA. The Guru status seems like a diamond chain around a monkey's neck in the case of Himesh. Can somebody teach the man to be dignifies Ala Vishal Shekar? Unfortunately in today's day of TRP's ruling the roost, the producers and the channel too are hand in glove else they could have edited it all out. SAd but true, a good show is going down the drain. Just reminiscing the days when the show has eminent judges like Kalyanji-Anandji, Pt. Sharma, Pt. Chaurasia, Khayyam, O P Nayyar who had a keen sense of music and were forever boosting the morale and encouraging the contestants. Just 5 years down the line and with the public voting through SMS, the channel and the service providers are laughing their way to the bank <BR/>sacrificing quality and sanctity to meets their commercial ends. Just proves to say that we as viewers <BR/>have little say as we continue being subjected to Himesh and in his antics in the name of 'Saraswathi Ma'. Also, it was sad to see directors like Ismail Darbar and Bappi Lahiri agreeing and nodding their heads each time Himesh made outrageous statements. I expect to be moved by each performance as I was moved by the piya haji ali one (my fave so far). 2)The diversity /versatality principle of Vish-Shek may have moved the needle too far fm Raja's jonar. Put the 2 together and maybe Raja peaked too soon. HR's sneak attack brought a crisis of confidence which made things worse.<BR/><BR/>I'm torn between reluctant admiration for HR's sheer cunning and distaste at his viciousness. Perhaps Vish-Shek have the best strategy - Sit back and let HR cross the line in terms of blatant manipulation and have that backfire on him. <BR/><BR/>At any rate , I hope for a face-off between the 2 best: Raja and Aneek. HR hysteria will really peak then. He's beaten Ekta Kapoor in her own jonar - the saas bahu saga. Hits-wise, things were best when he sang Maahiya, Vande Mataram and Teri Deewani, though he was criticised in the last instance.<BR/><BR/>And strangely, after Pardesi Pardesi and the HR mauling, sites visits jumped up by almost three times! <BR/><BR/>Hope Besharmiya goes at him yet again this week.
