Every pakistani had a tear in the eyes when one of the best VOI singer Toshi got eliminated.
I am surprized that every one has presented like "Ashmeet" says that it is his pap's spna to become voice of india, where as "Hershid" says that it is his grandmother sapna,guys what is happening in voice of india "Toshi" is the real voice of india and no one can denay this fact can any.....and he has to be the voice of india, otherwise what would come out when sorry to say "Ashmeet" would become the voice of india just because punjab is voting him. If "Toshi" did not come back than let "Asmeet" to become the VOI of india so that VOI team cannot say to the India that here is the best voice.....This is my quesion for every musician that "Is it the output of this VOI tremendious effor?"

One factor nobody has talked about yet is Zee TV's rebel Indian Cricket League. Surely Zee will have it piggyback ride on the extremely popular SRGMP. I thought the no-elimination episode was simply to push back SRGMP's finale by a week so that it coincides with the ICL opening fixture. So we could have the grand finale coming live right from a cricket stadium, right after a 20-20 match. That should boost ticket sales. (With Zee, you never know!) And in this case, an India vs. India final could make more sense.

Already on the show we have had Kapil Dev hinting on patriotism, and Lalu Yadav, the BCCI vice-president who has allowed use of his Railways grounds and players.

Don't be surprised if you see Lara as a guest on a calypso special episode and Inzy with a khana-khazana theme on SRGMP.

Wow after reading all comments I have almost decided to discontinue watching the show. I have made lot of emotional investment too and all for this ! If Mauli is one of final 4, I am sure I will not be watching this showin next season. This morning I tried singing some song that she sang last week in her voice and it was so easy. A non singer like me could imitate her easily. I could never do that for Sumedha or Poonam' voice. Actually none of my collegaues ot=r family watch this show and I think they are wiser. I think it's predecided that the final four will each belong to each Gharana. So the final four will be Aneek, Amanat, Mauli and Raja. And then "actual vote counts" will take place. Remember if all contestants of a gharana are out of the show - so are the mentors. So any manipulation after the final four stage is very difficult - unless a mentor is bought out.

At the moment, they eliminate the one who brings in minimum revenue (not votes) and for the rest of the positions - they play musical chairs.

Amanat in an interview said that the gurus expect Amanat and Aneek to be in the finals hence the whole love triangle. I think a india vs. pakistan finals was the end result from the very begginning of the show. Also this keeps Ismail and Himesh gharanas until the end.

Isn't emotional investment for the viewers the whole idea of a reality show :)

well, this show is fixed. how else does one explain the fact that there are websites that come out with "spoiler" results as well as *photos*, by wed or thu, when the voting is supposed to be open till friday 8AM? they shoot the episodes before the voting deadline :)

i seriously think it is illegal and should be investigated. these sms and phone calls are quite costly for an average indian and it is blatant breach of faith.

so that explains why miss maiya is still going strong. if she is out, what will people like us fight about? nothing like throwing in a bad singer among a talented bunch to generate controversy! if you, me and our neighbourhood stray dog knows that mauli is not a superlative singer, these gurus definitely *must* know that. they are being paid good amount of money to be in this show so must be asked to act as per some script. maybe thats why vishal recently commented in a news magazine that it is all junk and he is never doing it again??

we forget that zee is not running this show to find a good singer. they care 2 hoots for that. they are telecasting "entertainment" that generates precious ad revenue.

how i wish it is not true for the emotional investment i have made in this whole drama :(

Methinks the globe came in response to the 3 Pakistani contestants being "trishanku." The producers wanted to de-polarize feelings in the sub-continent and reduce their negative publicity. The globe is supposed to signify that the show has an international audience. Thus if someone is voted out the whole world voted them out...Not just Indians...

coming to Sumedha , She sings very very well ( 1008764 x better than Mauli ) but the Frog , won't even encourage her ..it's a shame - yet again , Mouli costs another Bali Ka Bakra ( first joy then Junaid and now Harpreet - what a shame ) -- i wonder why audiance vote for Mauli , if they have an appetite for X-factor ( add SE in front of x ) why dont' they just rent X rated movies

The only judges I respect on that show are V & S. Ismail and Bappi just repeat what the other judges say and though Himesh voices his opinions well, his retarded look when singing (note his hands), and the fact that he says half the things he does to start contreversy strikes me as fake and obviously planned.

V & S keep it real and actually enjoy the show IMO, more so than the other judges. I'm really not sure why The Frog is there, he never has an opinion on his own ,and speaks in broken English...

It will be a shame if Sumedha is eliminated before Mauli. Sumedha is a better singer and looks better than Mauli, yet The Frog keeps promoting Mauli for god knows what reason. Her voice is just average IMO, whereas Sumedha has a voice that belongs straight in the recording studio. Its too bad her mentor was at his peak as a music director 20 years ago and has no relevance nowadays in the music business.
