And joining these are some SRGMP alums (and two existing contestants). All of these are featured on two different versions of "Ganaa Ganaa". Shankar Mahadevan does the honors on the first, pacier rendition along with Amanat Ali, Aneek Dhar and Nirupama Dey. And they all get lines to sing along with providing backup vocals.
Asha Bhonsle kind of screeches through (sorry, mum) the second version but its great to hear Junaid Shaikh (trying to enunciate his R's clearly and doing interesting things with the taal) along with Mauli Dave (whose fondness for R&B is exploited here) and Sumedha.
So who sounds really good now that the image is removed from the voice - the crucial litmus test to figuring out who will make it? Aneek stands out and surprise, so does Mauli. But hey, where's my favorite S(tr)aberi in all of this?

Good to hear the soundtrack is good..lately am weary of these Godly movies..bought some for my kid and they are horrible..if you watch the movie too let us know how it is.Now i'll check ur blog b4 i buy :)
Are you kidding?! I'm not sitting through that piss-poor animation unless its got Himesh in it.
Hahaha...bang on Aspi!We need Lord Hima$$ in de movie..rofl....and not to ferget....Lord of Lords Shekhoo:)
Maybe they should design a 'little Himesh' animated series, along the lines of little Bush. The we can see Aneek in a deflated bal himesh costume at the music release.
All right Leera, lets flesh out this idea a little more and pitch it to Reshammiya productions. We'll pitch a bal-hero seris and then turn it around in its execution to make it a little like Spongebob.
Hey...how about a Munnabhai types...???Series of movie on adventures of HR...???dat wud inflate his one-more-drop-n-i-will-burst-ego....and he will go crazee makin movies opposite kids...and den none of us will watch it..and hell become bankrupt...and den...WE'LL FINALLY GET RID OF HIM!!!!:D

suman ranganathan
My home grown image matching software - Chaksudhoka - tells me there is a 70% match between Suman Ranganathan and SkD's picture.
Either SkD is related or anon is one sharp cookie.
Does that mean we should all line up to be photomatched? ;-) In college, a guy once hit on me by telling me that I looked like Kareena Kapoor. It didn't go over well with me, needless to say.
sorry sania , not to offend you , but that just looks like suman ranganathan , the same lady who acted in i think aa ab laut chale

Wow, what a great Kareena story.
I don't get that angle. My college Hitting on Women 101 book says that everyone has at least one thing thats cool worth focusing on (otherwise you wouldn't be interested).
Like shoes, or a haircut. Practice on girls you have no romantic interest in to refine your pitch.
Although I must admit the one where I praised someone's elbows wasn't my finest hour.
You praised someone's elbow....now that's supremely funny. What did she do?...poked you with her elbow...he he
Chk this and tell me what does ur home grown image matching software say-

SKD instantly reminded me of Sukanya,a south indian actress. She played Kamal hasan's wife in Hindustani or Indian(Tamil)
you guys have razor sharp brains and too much time on your hands...Am jealous!
Dear Shekhar ki, either way, the nice thing about the net is that picture or no picture, you can pass as anyone.
saberi? the one in Hit It gharana? she was ur fave aspi? she was quite good looking but needed to lose a lot of weight.
speaking of good looking, i juss had to pick ma sis from her dancing class, as we walked to the car she was like "that dude's checking you out" and i was like meh and subtlely looked and he was so HOT. 18 months too late *cries*

m, I loved the way Saberi's triceps jiggled when she sang. Her weight was just fine if you ask me.
Saritha, whats hilarious about that pic you sent is that rediff just labelled it 06south2.jpg. Talk about lumping people in a category :)
